Why use self storage?
There are many reasons people use self storage, these can be for personal or business use. The primary use of self storage is still for people moving house. Some of the most common reasons are listed below:
- If you sell your house before be able to move into your new house you can store items you don’t have room for.
- Got some building work going on, this is often much easier if the area affected can be completely cleared of furniture etc.
- Moving abroad for a year or so, its silly to get rid of all your furniture if you’ll need it all again in 12 months time.
- Take a break, want to travel the world. Well you’ll probably also want to let your house if you own it or if you don’t you’ll need somewhere to keep your possessions safe.
- Items that are used, but infrequently that take up a lot of space. Examples include, skiing gear, surfing gear, camping gear, fishing gear.
- Simple decluttering
- Elderly relatives moving to a home. This is a stressful time and it can be too much to deal with all the furniture and other items at the same time.
Business Storage
Business use our storage for some of the following:
- Storing stock, we also offer a goods receiving service – basically its like renting a mini warehouse.
- Seasonal business may not want to commit to a space for a whole year that may only be used for a month or two for the extra stock.
- Equipment related to your business for example tools or cleaning equipment.
- Exhibition stands take a lot of room and may be used only once or twice a year.
- Archival of records. This is a legal requirement and takes up a lot of room in the office.
- Premises renovations may require furniture etc to be moved from the business temporarily.
As you can see there are plenty of reasons you can use self storage. Using it offers convenience and is usually very cost effective if used in the right way.
